C.K. Hong , ,

Chun K. Hong is one of the founders of Netlist and has served as president, chief executive officer and director since our inception. He assumed the title of chairman of the Board of Directors in 2004. Prior to Netlist, Mr. Hong was president and chief operating officer of Infinilink Corp., a communications software company based in Irvine, CA. Prior to that, he was executive vice president of Viking Components, Inc., a memory manufacturing company based in RSM, CA. From 1983 to 1998, Mr. Hong held various management positions at LG subsidiaries in South Korea and in the U.S. He received a B.S. degree in economics from Virginia Commonwealth University and an M.S. degree in technology management from Pepperdine University's Graduate School of Management.

Gail Sasaki , ,

VP and CFO, has over 30 years of experience in financial planning and strategic transactions in technology companies. She joined Netlist in 2006 and helped take the Company public. Prior to Netlist, Ms. Sasaki served as Senior VP of Finance and Treasurer at eMotion, Inc., previously a subsidiary of Eastman Kodak, CFO of MicroNet Technology, and worked for many years in public accounting with Ernst & Young. Ms. Sasaki holds a BA, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of California Los Angeles and an MBA from the University of Southern California.

Alex Tinsley , ,

VP of Sales, has more than 25 years of sales experience in the semiconductor industry. He most recently served as Senior Sales Director at Qualcomm Datacenter Technologies where he was responsible for sales in the data center customer segment. Prior to Qualcomm, Mr. Tinsley served in various sales roles at Intel Corporation, Altera and Cypress Semiconductor. Mr. Tinsley holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kansas.


VP of Marketing, has over 18 years of experience in the fields of Product Management, Strategic Planning, and Marketing. Dr. Advani’s career path includes senior leadership roles at Intel, Micron and Microsemi, where he acted as liaison between the Engineering team and customers, and led the commercialization of storage products. Dr. Advani holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and a Ph.D. In Engineering from MIT.

Jibum Kim , ,

Executive Advisor for Asia Pacific Sales and Strategic Business Development, has over 30 years of experience in sales, marketing, procurement, and design. Mr. Kim most recently served as Executive Memory Procurement Advisor to LG Electronics. Prior to this, Mr. Kim was the Chief Marketing Officer of SK Hynix where he oversaw worldwide sales, marketing, and product planning. Prior to SK Hynix, Mr. Kim served as Vice President of DRAM design at LG Semicon, Inc. Mr. Kim holds a BS in Material Engineering from Hanyang University and an MS in Material Science & Technology from Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology.

Marc Frechette , ,

Chief Licensing Officer, has more than eighteen years of licensing and patent prosecution experience and most recently served as Senior Vice President and Senior Counsel at WiLAN, where he managed their U.S.-based licensing business unit. Prior to WiLAN, Mr. Frechette was Senior Vice-President at Acacia Research Corporation where he managed patent licensing, patent litigation and patent prosecution. He has also held legal positions at Crockett & Crockett, P.C., at Discovision Associates (a division of Pioneer Electronics) and at Conexant Systems. During his career he has licensed and conducted patent prosecution on a broad range of semiconductor technologies. Mr. Frechette holds a BS in Manufacturing Engineering from Boston University, a Juris Doctorate from Whittier Law School and an M.B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Noel Whitley , ,

VP Intellectual Property and Licensing, has over 18 years of experience developing and monetizing patent portfolios for technology companies. Before Netlist, Mr. Whitley served for over 8 years as VP of Intellectual Property at Broadcom, Inc., where he acted as the principal legal and business advisor to the company on matters related to patent portfolio development and monetization. Prior to Broadcom, he was in private practice with Cooley LLP and Stern, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox, PLLC. Mr. Whitley holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University, an MSEE from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a JD from the University of Texas School of Law.

Paik Ki Hong , ,

VP of Operations, has over 20 years of Operations and Supply Chain management experience in the technology field. His expertise extends to Netlist China where he has extensive involvement in supply chain strategy and lean manufacturing. Prior to joining Netlist in 2001, he was President of Largent Corporation. Mr. P.K. Hong holds a BS in Finance from American University and a certificate from the Stanford Executive Program.

Scott Milton , ,

VP of Engineering, has more than 25 years of electrical design and technical management experience. Prior to joining Netlist in 2003, Mr. Milton served as design engineer, project manager, hardware engineering manager and system engineering manager for PairGain Technologies/ADC Telecommunications. Mr. Milton began his career as a member of the technical staff at TRW where he designed hardware for ATM switching products. He holds a BSEE from UCLA (Magna Cum Laude) and an MSEE from the University of Southern California. Mr. Milton currently holds ten US patents.

Jerry Alston , ,

Executive Advisor for HybriDIMM Engineering, has held progressively responsible positions in the field of technology for 37 years. Prior to joining Netlist, Mr. Alston was the Sr. Vice President of Engineering for QLogic where, for 31 years, he was responsible for the product engineering of storage and networking products. Mr. Alston has extensive experience bringing to market leading products in this industry. He received his Bachelor of Electronics Engineering Technology from Ohio Institute of Technology and currently holds eight US patents.
